Corsair announces Obsidian series 450D PC case

Mid-tower case with brushed aluminum design

Corsair has unveiled its newest member of the Obsidian PC case series, the Obsidian 450D mid-tower PC case. The Corsair Obsidian 450D features the same brushed aluminum clean design of the Obsidian series with focus on high-airflow.

The new Obsidian series 450D PC case measures 494x210x497mm, weighs 7kg and has support for ATX, Micro ATX, and Mini ITX motherboards. It features two 5.25-inch and three 3.5/2.5-inch combo bays in a modular hard drive cage with two additional 2.5-inch bays located behind the motherboard tray. It also comes with seven expansion slots while feature list also includes thumb-screwed side panel removal, tool-free drive bays, center-post standoff to hold the motherboard in place during installation, easy accessible and removable fan filters and cable routing with rubber grommets.

As far as the cooling is concerned, the Corsair Obsidian series 450D PC case comes with two front 140mm fans placed behind the perforated brushed aluminum front and one rear 120mm fan. It has room for up to eight fans as well as support for extensive radiator compatibility including top 360/280mm one, 280/240mm front one, 240mm in the bottom and 120mm in the rear.

The new Corsair Obsidian series 450D PC case should be available as of April with a suggested retail price of US $119.99.
