AMD FX-670K shows up in HP Pavilion desktop system

Richland APU without integrated GPU

We now have a first sighting of the rather elusive AMD FX-670K CPU which is practically a FM2 socket Richland APU with disabled integrated GPU. The CPU showed up in Pavilion 500-266ea desktop.

Since it is based on the same design as the Richland APU, the AMD FX-670K features dual-module/quad-core CPU part based on AMD's Piledriver architecture and works at up to 3.7GHz. It is rather strange that AMD decided to use the "FX" branding rather than simply name it the Athlon X4, but it appears this will be the case with some APUs without GPU which have an unlocked based-clock multiplier.

The HP Pavilion 500-266ea desktop, in which the FX-670K was spotted is based on socket FM2 AMD A75 chipset motherboard, packs Radeon R7 240 graphics card and is priced at CA $650.
