We have already seen quite a few teases from AMD regarding the upcoming dual-GPU graphics card which will most likely be based on two 28nm Hawaii GPUs but according to latest set of rumors, coming from Dutch tech site BouweenPC.nl, the new graphics card might be actually called the Radeon R9 295X2.
According to the same report, the GPUs are expected to be clocked at over 1GHz and AMD might equip the card with some sort of air/liquid, hybrid cooler. This should allow the cooler to cool both GPUs with two GPU water blocks, memory as well as the VRM part which should allow it to hold its maximum GPU clock.
This sounds a lot like the recently released ASUS ROG ARES II graphics card and while it certainly sounds interesting it also means that water cooling will be a must, at least if you want to get a decent performance from this upcoming dual-GPU graphics card.
