During an MWC 2014 press dinner, Motorola's senior vice president of product management, Rick Osterloh shed some light regarding how successful the budget-friendly Moto G smartphone actually is and what to expect from the company in a near future.
Rick Osterloh noted that the budget-friendly Moto G is the company's most successful and highest selling smartphone as well as that the company is actually making money on every single Moto G smartphone it sells. He also noted that the profits should increase even further once the recently announced acquisition by Lenovo is completed.
The news and statements regarding Moto G does not actually come as a surprise considering that Moto G is actually one of the rare budget-friendly smartphones that feature 720p screen in such a premium package and at that price range, while timely OS updates are certainly another bonus.
Motorola's SVP also hinted the upcoming updated version of the Moto X which should arrive in late summer. Another important news concerns the expanded availability of the Moto X customization tool which will be arriving in the UK and Germany sometime in the Q2 this year, which is certainly a great news.
