Antec has announced the availability of its High Current Pro Platinum series HCP-1300 power supply unit which offers 1300W of continuous power, 80Plus Platinum certification and couple of quite unique features.

The HCP-1300 not only feature 80Plus Platinum certification with up to 94 percent efficiency but is also one of rare, if not the only power supply unit which features 16-pin socket which doubles the modular connectivity by supporting two different 8-pin cables per socket and allow future connector changes. It also comes with unique 28 ( 20+8 )-pin MBU socket which allows change to future MBU connectors as well as a unique OC Link which allows two HCP Platinum PSUs to be connected and work in tandem for those that need over 1.3kW of power. The HCP-1300 is designed with four +12V rails, has a total of 10 PCI-Express connectors and is cooled by a single bottom 135mm DBB Silence fan.

The rest of the features include Circuit Shield which includes all the possible protections, Thermal Manager, which controls the fan voltage for optimal heat and noise management, AQ7, which is Antec's 7-year warranty, all Japanese heavy-duty Caps, Phase wave design, DC-DC topology design and Stealth Wires.
