Nvidia updates the Tegra Note 7

Adds LTE model and brings Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

Nvidia has announced the updated version of its "budget" Tegra 4 based Tegra Note 7 tablet which will feature support for LTE. Nvidia has also started to roll out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the WiFi model.

Nvidia has announced the new version of its Tegra Note 7 which will feature support for LTE connectivity, thanks to its own Icera based i500 LTE chip. Unfortunately, the new LTE support also adds US $100 to the price, bringing the price up to US $299, which is touching the price level of some a bit more serious tablets with better specifications. The new Tegra Note 7 LTE will not be available until next quarter.

In addition to the new LTE version of the Tegra Note 7, Nvidia has also started to roll out the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the already available WiFi version as well. The new update will bring all those KitKat improvements as well as the Gamepad Mapper app from Nvidia Shield.
