MSI announces mini-ITX A88XI AC motherboard

Feature packed mini-ITX for Kaveri APUs

MSI has released a rather neat looking mini-ITX motherboard based on AMD's A88X chipset which will pack quite a few features in case you want to pair it up with AMD Kaveri, as well as Richland and Trinity APUs. Called the MSI A88XI AC, the new mini-ITX motherboard is actually one of the rare FM2+ mini-ITX motherboard announced which definitely makes it a quite an interesting piece of hardware.

The new MSI A88XI AC mini-ITX motherboard, despite its size, packs quite a few features including dual-band 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth, VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs, PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, two DDR3 DIMM slots with support for up to 32GB of DDR3-2133 memory, PCIe mini slot (populated by the 802.11ac WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0 card), two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, four SATA 6Gbps ports, Gigabit Ethernet, Realtek ALC887 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF, and Military Class 4 components.

MSI did quite well to pack all these features on a 17x17cm mini-ITX motherboard and it even has more features than some ATX motherboards on the market.

Unfortunately, MSI did not reveal any details regarding the price or the actual availability date for the new MSI A88XI AC motherboard.
