With 19nm NAND flash chips

Toshiba has now officially launched its new HG6 series of solid state drives which will be available in almost every current form-factor, capacities between 60GB and 512GB and using second-generation 19nm NAND flash memory.

According to Toshiba, the new HG6 SSD series will not target any specific market but will be suitable for wide variety of applications. As noted, the new Toshiba HG6 SSD series will be available in almost every current form-factor, including 2.5-inch 9.5mm and 7mm ones, mSATA and M.2 B-M in both dual-sided and single-sided options and at various capacities, depending on the form factor.

Based on Toshiba's second-generation 19nm NAND flash memory, the HG6 series SSDs will offer high performance and power efficiency with up to 534MB/s of sequential read and up to 482MB/s of sequential write performance and power consumption which is as low as 2.5W/65mW.

Unfortunately, since these are scheduled to ship in March, Toshiba did not shed any light regarding the price.
