Wiko Highway smartphone comes with FullHD and octa-core

High-end from France

Wiko is a pretty much unknown name outside of France where it is one of the mobile operators but, surprisingly, it also offers smartphones as well. With its latest smartphone, the French company brought quite an interesting surprise as the Highway smartphone comes with a Full HD screen and octa-core SoC.

The reference device for the Wiko Highway is actually Alcatel's One Touch Idol X+ which is based on MediaTek's MT6592 SoC. The SoC is based on big.LITTLE architecture which means it has one power efficienty quad-core part placed next to a much better and highest performing quad-core part. The SoC also includes Mali 450 GPU clocked at 700MHz and it is paired up with 2GB of RAM.

As far as the rest of the specifications are concerned, the Highway comes with 5-inch IPS panel with 1920x1080 resolution placed behind Gorilla Glass 2 for protection. It packs 16GB of internal memory and comes with 16-megapixel rear main camera and 8-megapixel front one. The phone is powered by a 2350mAh battery.

The selling price should be around 350 €.
