Thermaltake has announced its newest members of the micro PC case lineup, the Thermaltake Urban S1 and the Urban SD1, both designed for compact high-performance systems based on micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards.
Following the design of all previous Thermaltake Urban cases, the Urban S1 and Urban SD1 are ideal for compact PC systems but still offers enough room fro expansion as well as an advanced cooling solutions.
The Urban S1 features metal brushed front door panel with blue LED indicators located at the top and follows the design lines and ideas from all previous Urban cases, offering simple yet elegant look. It comes with two USB 3.0 ports as well as standard audio jacks on it front-bottom placed I/O panel. It comes with two 5.25-inch and six 3.5-inch drive bays, has enough room for most standard CPU coolers and has four PCI extension slots. As far as the cooling goes, it comes with single pre-installed 80mm rear fan with removable filters as well and room for an optional front 120mm fan.
The Urban SD1 micro case is a tad bit more interesting and also feature metal brushed front door and blue LED indicator. On the other hand it feature customizable 5.25-inch and 3.5-inch drive bay which allows for changing the 3.5-inch bays and removing of the 5.25-inch one, in order to get maximum compatibility. It also feature a retractable motherboard tray allowing easier motherboard installation, standard maintenance and easier upgrading.
As far as the cooling goes, the Urban SD1 comes equipped with one front 90mm turbo fan and two rear 60mm fans. It also supports up to 140mm radiator and features a large CPU cut-out for easier CPU cooler mounting.
Unfortunately, Thermaltake did not shed any light regarding actual price or the availability date.
