Playstation 4 getting v1.60 update today

Additional stability and support for headsets

Sometime today, Sony will roll out its newest firmware update for the next-generation Playstation 4 console, the v1.60 update. The new update will improve the stability of the console as well as bring some new things including the long awaited support for some headsets.

The new stability improvements in the new v1.60 update are obviously minor as focus is on new feature or rather support for the new PULSE Wireless Stereo Headset as well as the original Wireless Stereo headset. It also brings an ability to mute the Playstation 4 camera in order to fix unintentional chat during multiplayer.

The support for the new PULSE Wireless Stereo Headset will also be accompanied by the headset companion app and we will also see an update for Playstation app for iOS and Android.

We will probably have more details as soon as the update rolls out to first Playstation 4 consoles.
