Sapphire announces the Edge DS8 mini PC

Based on quad-core Trinity APU

Sapphire has released yet another member of its its Edge series mini PCs aimed solely at professional AV solution and Digital Signage markets, the Sapphire Edge DS8.

Based on a 168x235x46mm wall-mountable metal case which actually looks like a neat heatsink, the Sapphire Edge DS8 is based on quad-core Trinity A8 APU, which should pack enough punch for any sort of Digital Signage options, POS applications or even 24/7 ProAV installations.

As far as the specs go and in addition to the quad-core A8 APU, the Sapphire Edge DS8 mini PC also feature 8GB of RAM, 64GB of SSD storage, support fro two or more displays via HDMI and mini DIsplayPort output, four USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports as well as SPDIF and standard audio jacks, WiFi and Ethernet support.

According to Sapphire, the new Edge DS8 also features certification from SCALA for its industry standard Signage software and ships with a 2-year warranty.
