There has been quite a few NUC devices from Intel recently but the one based on Bay Trail CPU, which has been rumored since September last year, has finally showed its thick body, with support for 2.5-inch drive as well as availability in the US.
Called the NUC DN2820FYKH, the new system is equipped with dual-core Celeron N2820 CPU clocked at 2.4GHz which features Intel HD graphics clocked at up to 756MHz making it much faster than previous Intel NUCs. It also comes with a single SO-DIMM memory slot with support for up to 8GB of memory, single mini PCIe slot (populated by a wireless card), SATA port for up to 9.5mm thick HDD, two USB 2.0 and single USB 3.0 port, HDMI output, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and integrated IR sensor.
Currently selling for US $145 in the US, the new Intel NUC DN2820FYKH certainly sounds like a sweet little system and even comes with a VESA mount bundled inside the box.
