Second wave of AMD Kaveri APUs coming in Q2 2014

Include A10-7800, A6-7400K and the A4-7300

AMD has recently officially launched its newest Kaveri APU lineup based on Steamroller CPU, GCN 2.0 GPU architectures, 28nm manufacturing process and FM2+ socket, but it only included three APUs, the A10-7850K, A10-7700K and the A8-7600. The second wave which includes the mid-range and entry-level APUs should launch in Q2 2014.

The lineup should include the A10-7800, A6-7400K and the A4-7300 APUs. The A10-7800 is a mix between the flagship A10-7850K and the A10-7700K and since it lacks the K suffix, it will not be a part of the "unlocked" series. It is still a quad-core part with 4MB of L2 cache and works at 3.5GHz base and 3.9GHz Turbo clock. Same as the A10-7850K, the A10-7800 also features Radeon R7 GPU part clocked at 720MHz with 8 Compute Units and 512 Stream Processors but has a lower TDP set at 65W.

The A6-7400K is a dual-core part with 1MB of L2 cache and although its base and turbo clocks have not been detailed, this one could be quite interesting for HTPC builders as it features decent Radeon R5 graphics part with 4 Compute Units and 256 Stream Processors. The last, but not the least, is the AMD A4-7300, an entry-level dual-core APU working at 3.4GHz base and 3.8GHz turbo clocks and packing Radeon R5 graphics part clocked at 512MHz and featuring 3 Compute Units or 192 Stream processors. Both the A6-7400K and the A4-7300 are 65W TDP parts.

The price for the A10-7800 has been set at US $172, which is just a US $1 below the flagship A10-7850K, while the A6-7400K and the A4-7300 price will be revealed at a later date.
