Zotac shows orb-shaped ZBOX Mini-PC at CES

The ZBOX 01520 based on Intel Core i3 CPU

In addition to a couple of new standard looking ZBOX mini-PCs which were on display at Consumer Electronics Show 2014 in Las Vegas, Zotac also revealed a rather neat looking new orb-shaped ZBOX 01520 based on Intel's dual core Core i3-4010U CPU, the ZBOX 01520.

Although it does look like Zotac has taken a page out of Google book as the new ZBOX 01520 looks a lot like the Nexus Q, it definitely packs quite a bit more punch with a dual-core Core i3-4010U CPU working at 1.7GHz, up to 16GB of DDR3 memory and single 2.5-inch storage drive. As always, Zotac will also offer this one as a barebone without the memory and the HDD as well as a few PLUS version which include 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD and even one with mSATA SSD.

The rest of the specifications include 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, card reader, four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI output.

Unfortunately, Zotac did not shed any light regarding the actual release date or the price for the new ZBOX 01520 mini-PC.
