Dell announces its US $699 28-inch P2815Q 4K monitor

To be available this month

Earlier last year, Dell announced that it will soon come up with a cheaper 4K 3840x2160 resolution monitor which will be priced under US $1000. During CES 2014, Dell certainly delivered on its promise with the new P2815Q which will be available this month at a rather affordable US $699 price.

Although Dell did not share much information regarding specifications of the new P2815Q, it should be based on a 3840x2160 resolution IPS LED-backlit panel, have 8ms response time and 1,000:1 contrast ratio as well as a wide range of inputs, most likely, HDMI and DisplayPort. It will also come with adjustable stand for pivot, swivel and height adjustment which is what you usually get with most Dell monitors.

While most recently announced 4K monitors will stick with a US $799 price tag, Dell managed to shave another US $100 and price its own budget 4k monitor at US $699. According to early info, it should hit retail/e-tail shelves in two weeks, which means that we will see it before the end of this month.
