VisionTek has unveiled its newest custom-built and liquid cooled AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics card, the CryoVenom R9 290. Based on a custom design and a rather cool looking EK Water Blocks full cover block, the new CryoVenom R9 290 promises some impressive performance at better value than DIY.

According to VisionTek, the new CryoVenom R9 290 is up to 38 percent cooler when compared to the reference graphics card, which is not that hard considering that the reference cooler did not do a great job when it comes to R9 290 series graphics cards. It also comes with a 24 percent overclock, pushing the GPU to 1.1GHz. VisionTek also notes that the CryoVenom R9 290 can be easily overclock further to 1175MHz while memory can be increased up to 1450MHz, all without voiding the one-year warranty.

VisionTek notes that although DIY ha always been the way to go, the new CryoVenom offers same amount of performance with low hassle factor, one year of warranty and lower cost. According to their calculations, DIY water cooled R9 290 could set you back for around US $651.00 while VisionTek CryoVenom R9 290 sells for US $550.

According to VisionTek, the new CryoVenom R9 290 should be available as of today with a suggested retail price of US $550.
