It looks like Lian Li got inspired by Red Harbinger and created a prototype of a case, that is basically a computer case and a desk in one. Quite a few years ago Lian li already built Aluminium desks but back then they didn't think about integrating a computer chassis.
With the DK-01, Lian Li is launching a prototype chassis which measures 800 mm x 795 x 600 millimeter (WxHxD). The hardware is being housed in what can be considered a drawer underneath the table board, which is acutally transparent. The legs are made from metal u-frames.
Inside the "drawer" there is plenty of space for even an HPTX motherboard. Apparently it's also possible to put an EATX, XL-ATX or ATX motherboard into the DK-01. Apart from that there is room for no less than 14 3.5 inch hard drives. The drives have to be mounted using carriages, which makes swapping them piece of cake. If you should decide to remove half the hard drive carriages, there is a lot of space of large motherboards as well as extra long graphics cards. Power supplies can be up to 280 millimeter long and coolers up to 180 millimeter tall. There is also the possibility to install up to seven 120 millimeter fans, a 360 millimeter and a 240 millimeter radiator.
Unfortunaltey there are no additional details on pricing or on availability.
