During a press event held in Japan, MSI has finally showed off its new non-reference Radeon R9 290X graphics card that will be probably launched together with the recently detailed MSI R9 290X Lightning, the MSI R9 290X Gaming OC featuring Twin Frozr IV Advanced cooler.
The new MSI R9 290X Gaming OC graphics card will most likely end up to be a much cheaper than the R9 290X Lighting and still feature a custom PCB with a new VRM. The new graphics card is cooled by MSI's own Twin Frozr IV Advanced cooler painted in recognizable red+black Gaming series color scheme.
It rest of the details that we can see from the picture are a BIOS switch and a backplate that should additionally improve the rigidity of the new R9 290X Gaming OC graphics cards.
Unfortunately, there were no details regarding the actual clocks of the new graphics card but source did note that this one is expected by the end of this month while R9 290X Lightning will no come before next year. We also expect MSI to showcase its non-reference R9 290 graphics cards pretty soon.
