Club 3D has announced two new power supply units that will have 1000 and 700W output and also feature 80Plus Gold certification, the CSP-D700CG and the CSP-X1000CG.
While it already had a range of high-performance Switching Power Supplies capable of delivering enough power for multiple high-end GPUs, Club 3D was quite keen and proud to announce its first 80 Plus Gold certified PSUs, with 700 and 1000 Watts of output. Since these are 80Plus Gold certified, it means they have up to 92 percent efficiency and are also equipped with a large, low RPM, temperature controlled fan placed at the bottom.
One of the key feature of the two new PSUs is their capacity of the 12 Volt rails which are usually the ones that provide power to the GPU(s). The 700W CSP-D700CG has four 12V rails offering up to maximum 30A while the output current on the CSP-X1000CG and its four 12V rails is set at 36A. According to Club 3D, these 12V rails with enough output current ensure compatibility with the latest PC-technology and ready for current and next-generation multi-CPU and GPU platforms, including AMD CrossFire and Nvidia SLI configurations.
Unfortunately, Club 3D did not shed any light regarding the price or the actual availability date for the two new PSUs.
