Corsair has announced the new line of CS Series Modular power supply units (PSUs) that will be available in 450, 550, 650 and 750W models and be designed to be exceptionally energy efficient and simple to install as well as to be the most affordable 80Plus Gold certified PSUs in Corsair's lineup.

According to Corsair, the CS Series Modular PSUs are designed to deliver stable, continuous power with 80 PLUS Gold certified power efficiency to minimize energy waste and lower electrical bills. The main feature is a semi-modular cable system with 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS12V permanently attached while the rest connected via modular flat cables in order to provide cleaner look, prevent cable clutter and provide better overall airflow.

Cooled by a single 120mm sleeve bearing fan that will run at low speeds during typical loads, the new Corsair CS Series Modular PSUs should be nearly silent during everyday tasks. It also meet all the latest ATX power specification and are also compatible with latest AMD and Intel CPUs, including low-power sleep states of Intel's 4th Generation Core Haswell CPUs.

The new Corsair CS Series Modular PSUs are covered with a limited 3-year warranty and should be already available around the world with price tags set at US $89.99 for the 450W, US $99.99 for the 550W, US $109.99 for the 650W and US $119.99 for the CS750M 750W model.
