Acer's C720 Chromebook might get a boost in December

Touchscreen, 8GB of RAM and Haswell

Acer certainly drew a lot of attention with its recently introduced and affordable Acer Chromebook C720 and now, according to a fresh set of rumors, it appears that it might get an impressive boost in performance and features with touchscreen, 8GB of RAM and Haswell CPU.

According to a rumor from Chromestory.com site, Acer might be working on adding the touch, 8GB of RAM and Haswell CPU to the Chromebook C720. According to the specification sheet, the upcoming Chromebook C720 could end up with a touchscreen, Intel's Mobile Celeron 2955U Haswell CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, 8GB of RAM and either 16 or 32GB of SSD storage.

The listed price is even more surprising as, when converted, translates to around US $544. Of course, prices in Sweden were always a bit on the high side, so US MSRP might be even lower.

Chromebooks are already quite popular and Haswell based ones with touchscreen might definitely have an important place in the market. According to Chromestory.com site, these are scheduled to launch sometime in December, or just in time for the holiday shopping spree.
