Last night, during its special Apple conference, Apple's Phil Schiller stepped on to the stage to announce its favorite, fancy and rounded new Mac Pro, which will start at US $2999, include Intel's quad-core Xeon CPU, 12GB of RAM, and dual FirePro GPUs and begin shipping in December.
Although it was already revealed back at WWDC in San Francisco earlier this year, the price and precise specifications of the "bucket-like" Mac Pro were still unknown. As noted earlier last night, the new Mac Pro will start of with 3.7GHz clocked quad-core Xeon E5 CPU, 12GB of RAM, dual FirePro D300 GPU and 256GB SSD, all for a mere US $2999.
Of course, it can be upgraded with up to two AMD FirePro GPUs with up to 4096 stream processors and up to 12GB of GDDR5 VRAM, up to 64GB of DDR3 system memory, up to 12-core Intel Xeon CPU and up to 1TB of flash storage. The rest of the specs include three USB 3.0 ports, six Thunderbolt 2 prots, Ethernet, HDMI and integrated 802.11ac WiFi.
The new Mac Pro will definitely be a star on any desk thanks to its cylindrical design with "thermal core" cooler with center placed heatsink that comes in contact with all components but will still be limited to professional users with a very deep pocket.
