While most were focused on the upcoming AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card that should officially launch tomorrow, there was not much talk about the R9 290 but now, we can finally see one of the first pictures of it, coming from Club 3D.
In case you missed earlier rumors, the R9 290 should end up 2560 stream processors, 160 TMUs, 64 ROPs and a 512-bit memory interface paired up with 4GB of GDDR5 memory as well as lower 946MHz GPU and 5.0GHz memory clocks. While the pictured Club 3D graphics card will feature some sort of factory-overclock there is still no info on how high will it actually be.
Unfortunately, it still uses the same reference design and we were hoping that at least R9 290 would come in custom designs from day one. If it shares the same destiny with the R9 290X, we could see custom designs by the end of November.
