While the official KitKat name for the Android 4.4 has been known for quite some time and Nexus 5 has been already detailed quite extensively, the official launch date was still a big mystery. Thankfully, few recent and quite clever teasers point out to October 28th which is a day earlier from Android 4.2 and Nexus 4 launch which was on October 29th last year.
First tease came via Twitter saying "Everybody dance now!" which refers to a C+C Music Factory song, a group previously known as 28th Street Crew. Although it is quite a vague hint, the second Tweet, "This is it" refers to the popular Michael Jackson movie that premiered on October 28, 2009. These two together clearly suggest that October 28th is definitely the official date and we definitely enjoy these quite clever teasers from Google and its KitKat partner.
Android 4.4 KitKat will most likely launch official on October 28th and it is quite obvious that it will be joined on stage by Nexus 5 since every last detail about the new smartphone have already leaked online.
