AMD Curacao Pro R7-270 allegedly benchmarked

Faster than Radeon HD 7870

An alleged AMD Curacao Pro based graphics card has leaked earlier this week and apparently we now have first benchmarks which show it should be faster than the Radeon HD 7870.

The Curacao Pro based graphics card should replace the Radeon HD 7850 with 2GB of memory and although the precise clock speeds and the stream processor amount are still unknown it appears that, according to Chiphell forum member Getwinder, the performance of the AMD Radeon R7-270 is much higher than the Radeon HD 7850 and even the Radeon HD 7870, but still lags behind the Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 graphics card, at least when it comes to performance per watt.

Of course, you should take these with a rather large spoon of salt since AMD is quite paranoid these days and doing quite a good job in keeping all the info well hidden, even from its partners.
