Techpowerup has released the newest update to its GPU-Z, a graphics hardware information, monitoring and diagnostic utility, version 0.7.3. The new version brings a couple of changes, bug fixes, support for upcoming Intel, Nvidia and AMD graphics cards and most importantly, details the model names for AMD's upcoming Volcanic Islands with preliminary support.
In addition to releasing a preliminary support for the AMD Radeon R7 240, R7 250, R7 260X, R9 270, R9 270X, R9 290 and R9 290X graphics cards as well as the AMD Radeon HD 7600G, HD 8250, HD 8330, HD 8470G, HD 8570, HD 8570G, E6460 and the FirePro W7000 and W600 model, the new version of the GPU-Z also adds support for Intel B43 variant, Nvidia's Geforce GT 625, GT 645, GT 755M, GT 745M, GTX 760M, GTX 765M, GTX 770M as well as Quadro K1100M and K5100M.
The new version also fixes release date for Geforce GT 750M, fixes die size for GF117, adds voltage monitoring suport for Nvidia cards with NCP4206 voltage controller and the Geforce GTX 780 with CHL8318 controller, fixes crash on AMD HD 7790 while playing video, rare issue with fan RPM monitoring when no fan present, upgrade installer which was not working properly when GPU-Z is running and sensor history that will now be cleared on resume from standby/hibernate.
