Corsair launches the new RM series PSUs

Optimized for silence

Corsair has unveiled its newest RM series power supply units that will be, according to Corsair, optimized for silence as well as feature modular design with low flat cables and Corsair's own 135mm fan that features built-in Zero RPM fan mode.

To be available in 450, 550, 650, 750, 8500 and 1000W models, the Corsair RM series will be compliant with the ATX12V 2.4 and EPS 2.92 standards as well as 80Plus Gold certification with over 92% efficiency. The new RM series is also compatible with Intel's Haswell and Ivy Bridge-E CPUs and feature Corsair Link support.

As noted, Corsair equipped the new RM series with low-profile, modular flat cables as well as a 135mm Corsair NR135L fan that, thanks to the built-in Zero RPM Fan Mode, will only be spinning during higher loads, when the temperature inside exceeds a certain level.

The Corsair PSU RM series will have a MTBF of 100,000 hours, be backed by a five-year warranty and should show up on retail/e-tail shelves this month.

The price is set at US $99.99 RM450, US $109.99 for the RM550, US $119.99 for RM650, US $129.99 for RM750, US $159.99 for the RM850 and US $199.99 for the top offer RM1000 1000W model.
