Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge-E now widely available

US $1,050/€919,56 for the flagship

Intel's Core i7 Ivy Bridge-E lineup is now widely available which lines up with previous predictions and plans to get it to the market in the September 3rd to September 11th range. The Core i7-4960X, Core i7-4930K and the Core i7-4820K are all available and although we have seen the official prices from Intel, those in retail/e-tail are always a bit higher.

The six-core flagship Core i7-4960X works at 3.6GHz base and 4.0GHz Turbo clocks had a US $990 price tag on paper but is currently sold by Newegg.com at US $1,050 while in Europe it can be found for as low as €919,56. The second six-core, Core i7-4930K, works at 3.4GHz and 3.9GHz base and Turbo clocks, had a suggested US $555 price tag but currently sells for US $580 at Newegg.com while in Europe it goes for around €515 to €520 depending on the region.

The last but not the least is the cheapest, quad-core, Core i7-4820K, which works at 3.7GHz base and 3.9GHz Turbo clocks. This one had a suggested retail price of US $310, but currently sells for US $330 at Newegg.com while in Europe it ranges from €288 to around €290 depending on the region and retailer/e-tailer.

Of course, it makes sense if you are running on the LGA2011 platform and according to what we can see, these CPUs are widely available all across Europe so at least availability is not a problem.
