EK Water Blocks is working on two new full cover water blocks aimed to be used on MSI's upcoming N780GTX Lightning and EVGA's 780 GTX Classified graphics cards.
Both water blocks will feature side-attached "Terminal port system", which allows the use of up to four water blocks on a single ATX form factor motherboard via EK-FC Terminal (dual, triple or quad) system. Both water blocks will also feature high flow design but will not line up with any other full cover water block from EK due to non-standardized width of these custom graphics cards from EVGA and MSI.
The EK-FC780 GTX Lightning water block was developed in cooperation with MSI and will directly cool the GPU, RAM as well as the custom VRM that MSI implemented on its new GTX 780 Lightning graphics cards. The new EK-FC780 GTX Lighting full cover water block will certainly add additional overclocking headroom if paired up with a high-quality water cooling system.
The EK-FC780GTX Classy is pretty much the same but will fit the recently launched EVGA GTX 780 Classified graphics card. It will also cool the GPU, RAM and the VRM part and should provide lower temperatures and, thus, better overclocking potential when compared to the custom cooler used by the EVGA.
The two new full cover water blocks will be available in September via EK Webshop and selected partner network. The Lightning block is expected in the first half of September while the one for EVGA GTX 780 Classified should come by the end of September.
