As you might have heard, Sony will be bringing the new Playstation 4 console to Gamescom show scheduled to kick off on 21st of August, or a week from now. The Playstation 4 will be on the show floor at Gamescom for all to play and it is expected that Sony will also confirm the rumored October 21st launch date for North America and Europe.

The new rumored October 21st launch date lines up with what has been coming from various other sources and it should give Sony enough time to prepare retailers/e-tailers and get enough stock to certain key regions. It also puts the launch just a month before the Black Friday, one of the most important shopping sprees in North America. It will also give Sony enough time to prepare for the late year Christmas shopping season as well.

Of course, Sony still does not want to officially confirm any dates but since the Gamescom is just around the corner, we will definitely hear more pretty soon.
