Sandisk introduces new X210 SSD

Power efficient and up to 512GB of capacity

During Flash Memory Summit 2013, Sandisk announced the new line of business SSDs including the new power-efficient Sandisk X210 SSD. Sandisk X210 is a SATA-based SSD that, according to Sandisk, is an ideal solution for IT professionals looking to maximize performance of PCs and notebooks.

According to Sandisk, the new Sandisk X210 SSD is optimized for businesses that need fast, consistent access to data, including search engines and cload storage providers as well as micro- and entry-level servers. Although it did not reveal any details regarding the actual controller or NAND flash chips used in the new X210, Sandisk did reveal that the X210 SSD will be available in capacities of up to 512GB and offer up to 505MB/s of sequential read and up to 470MB/s of sequential write speeds.

It also features automated power management, including DEVSLP capability, enabling mobile computing users to experience outstanding performance, without sacrificing battery life, is built on SanDisk's advanced 19 nanometer (nm) manufacturing process technology, features the company's proprietary high-performance tiered system architecture, which includes the exclusive nCache acceleration technology, same one used in the award-winning SanDisk Extreme of storage.

According to Sandisk, the new 2.5-inch Sandisk X210 SSD is already available in large quantities via SanDisk Commercial Business Channel.
