Galaxy launches new GTX 770 GC 4GB

Custom design

Galaxy has announced yet another addition to the Geforce GTX 700 lineup, the Galaxy Geforce GTX 770 GC 4GB graphics card. Based on a custom design and a dual fan cooling solution, the new Galaxy Geforce GTX 770 GC 4GB doubles the amount of memory when compared to reference GTX 770 graphics cards.

In case you missed it earlier, the GTX 770 is based on a 28nm GK104 GPU and packs 1536 CUDA cores, 128 texture units and 32ROPs. While the reference version is set to work at 1046MHz base and 1085MHz Boost GPU clocks, Galaxy managed to ship its new GTX 770 GC 4GB with a slight factory overclock of 1110MHz base and 1163MHz Boost clocks. As the name suggests, it packs 4GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3505MHz (7010MHz effective) paired up with a 256-bit memory interface.

The new GTX 770 GC 4GB will even offer additional overclocking potential thanks to its custom design and 5+2-phase VRM (4+2 reference) which should delive more stable current for the GPU. The card is cooled by Galaxy's own custom cooler with four heatpipes, dual fans, and brushed metal cooler shroud. As expected, the new GTX 770 GC 4GB comes with two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and needs 8+6-pin PCI-Express supplementary power connectors.

The new Galaxy GTX 770 GC 4GB is already selling in the USA with a price set at US $459.99.
