In an interview with Expreview during an event held in China, Gigabyte's marketing department sales director, Liu Mengzong, hinted at a possibility that Gigabyte might be working on a GTX 780 graphics card that will be a part of its "Super Overclock" (SOC) series of graphics cards that usually feature extremely high factory-overclock, high-end components, and over the top cooling solution.
Gigabyte previously reserved the SOC title to high-end GPUs and released the Radeon HD 7970 SOC and Geforce GTX 680 SOC, both with triple-slot Windforce 5X cooler with five smaller fans placed on top of the card. According to Mengzong, the card would be positioned even on top of the SOC and "even higher than out friends who offer Lightning, ROG graphics cards". He also noted that this new graphcis card will feature high-end feature rich utilities for users, which usually means that it will be aimed at enthusiasts and overclockers.
In any case, it would be nice to see how well will it cope with ROG and Lightning competition and we surely can't wait to see them all on market.
