Intel plans new Core i7-4771 Haswell CPU

Nothing but a minor frequency bump

Although it was expected that the new Intel Core i7-4771, that will eventually replace the Core i7-4770, would feature a different GPU, according to latest info, it might end up to launch with just a minor 100MHz frequency bump.

While the Core i7-4770 had the 3.4GHz CPU clock, the Core i7-4771 will end up at 3.5GHz. The rest of the features and specifications still remain the same, so it will feature Intel's HD 4600 graphics, 84W TDP, 3.9GHz max Turbo and 8MB of L3 cache. Practically the only thing that has been changed is the clock multiplier that went from 34 to 35 raising the base clock by 100MHz.

In case you missed it earlier, the Core i7-4771 is a quad-core part based on 22nm Haswell architecture. According to recent info, the entire Haswell refresh, including the new Core i7-4771, should launch in Q3 2013 and should be detailed in early September, at Intel's IDF 2013.
