Galaxy has announced the new Geforce GTX 780 HOF Edition graphics card claiming it is the fastest air-cooled GTX 780 on earth. Based on hand-picked GPUs, the GTX 780 HOF ends up at a massive 1058MHz Boost GPU clock which makes it around 20 percent faster than the standard GTX 780 and even faster than Geforce GTX Titan.
Based on a rather unique and custom white 10-layer PCB, the new Galaxy GTX 780 HOF Edition features CHiL CHL8318 top-of-the-line VR11.1 compliant digital PWM and IR3550 PowIRstage DrMOS 4.0 compliant chipset, with a 8+2-phase VRM with 90% efficiency. The cooler on top of it is the first GTX 780n cooler that use Hybrid Vapor Chamber Heat Pipe (HVCP) cooling, which provides up to 30 times more efficient heat transfer when compared to copper. The massive heatsink is cooled by two 90mm fans with special grooved blades that should reduce noise and increase cooling efficiency. Even the shroud is made out of a combination of fire-resistant polycarbonate, anodized metal, and die-cast aluminum alloy.
The new Galaxy GTX 780 HOF Edition is certainly the cream of the crop when it comes to GTX 780 and with Hyper Boost feature, activated via Hyper Boost button on the bracket, that engages special circuitry and internal optimizations, pushing clock speeds into overdrive and raising fan speed accordingly. Hyper Boost increases core clocks by up to 8% beyond GPU Boost 2.0's dynamic overclocking function and users' custom OC settings.
Unfortunately, Galaxy did not announce any details regarding the actual price or the availability date but we are quite sure that we will see it in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
