GTX 670 is going to disappear

Too much competition for GTX 760

With the launch of the Geforce GTX 770 and the Geforce GTX 760 graphics cards, Nvidia made quite a fuss on the market, even for its own previous generation GTX 680, 670 and 660Ti. While it is known that the GTX 680 and 660 Ti will be withdrawn from the market, Nvidia also plans to EOL (end-of-life) the Geforce GTX 670 as well.

According to a report at Computebase.de, Nvidia stated that it can't comment on graphics card partner plans, and that choice of which product will be EOLed rests solely on the partner. According to the current state of the market with the introduction of new graphics cards, it is quite clear that Nvidia AIB partners will definitely EOL the GTX 670, simply as the market is currently quite crowded.

Product placement of the GTX 760 actually makes it possible for the GTX 670 to remain on the market but we guess it could seriously impact the sales of the GTX 760, thus it makes sense for partners to EOL it. According to latest details, Nvidia will not replace the GTX 670 with any other card as recent slide revealed that we will not see anything new from Nvidia until later this year.
