Razer has announced the launch of its new Razer Hammerhead series of in-ear headsets with two all-new audio solutions aimed for mobile gaming and music. To be available in two versions, the Razer Hammerhead and the Razer Hammerhead Pro, with will both feature incredible durability and fantastic audio quality thanks to 9mm neodymium drivers.
The only difference between two versions is the omni-directional microphone with an in-line remote phone-call control that will be available on the Razer Hammerhead Pro version. Both in-ear headsets are machined out of aircraft-grade aluminum that will provide extreme durability while maintaining lightweight, comfortable and quite good looking design.
both ship with interchangeable ear-tips included in three sizes and offer advance passive noise isolation, optimized inner acoustics chamber that should, at least according to Razer, provide "a mean, earth-shattering bass while maintaining crystal clear mids and highs", all with those 9mm neodymium drivers.
The specs of those 9mm neodymium magnets include 20Hz to 2kHz frequency response, 16 Ohm impedance and 106dB sensitivity, while omni-directional microphone on the Hammerhead Pro features Frequency response of 50Hz to 10kHz, SNR of 55 dB and sensitivity of -42dB +/- 3 dB.
Both will ship with quite neat and compact carrying case for portability while Hammerhead Pro will also feature splitter adapter for PC connection. Priced at U.S. $69.99/€69.99, the Hammerhead Pro is already available at Razer in the USA while it is expected be available worldwide in August this year. The plain Hammerhead will be selling at U.S. $49.99/€49.99 and will share the same availability fate as the Hammerhead Pro.
