Nexus 7 successor coming this month

Brings LTE support, better screen and more power

It is pretty much known for quite some time that Asus and Google will make a Nexus 7 successor but a recent report from the Economic Daily in Taiwan suggests that such device could be announced and arrive on the market before the end of this month.

According to previous rumors, the new Nexus 7 should feature a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 CPU, which is quite a big win for Qualcomm considering that the previous one turned out to be a great deal for Nvidia and its Tegra chip. It shouild also feature a much better 7-inch touchscreen with 1920x1200 resolution as well as support for 4GB LTE networks.

The previous rumors also noted that it could feature a 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.2-megapixel one in the front, 2GB of RAM, 3950mAh battery and either 16GB or 32GB of storage space, depending on the SKU.

Although, the end of July launch date sounds a bit far fetched considering that we should have heard more about it, everything is possible and Taiwanese sources are usually quite precise judging that they are quite close to the component supply chain.
