Sony working on quad-core phablet

With 20-megapixe camera

According to rumors, Sony might be working on a 6.44-inch phablet, codename Togari as well as the new 5-inch smartphone, codename Honami.

It appears that Sony is once again gunning for the high-end part of the market as it is working on a 6.44-inch full HD device codename Togari. The device has not been detailed, other than it was expected at Mobile World Congress in February but now it might appear alongside the newly rumored Honami smartphone.

According to Chinese site ePrice, the Honami will end up with a 5-inch full HD screen, a 2.3GHz clocked Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset and even feature a 20-megapixel rear camera with Cybershot CMOS sensor and Carl Zeiss lens. The rest of the rumored specs include 2GB of RAM, up to 3,000mAh battery and water/dust resistance, something that consumers liked a lot on the Xperia Z.

The Honami is scheduled to appear at the IFA show in September.
