According to Engadget.com, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 SoC will be entering mass production in late next month which just might be too late as most flagship smartphone are already out.
In case you missed it, Qualcomm's Snapdragon flagship SoC is based on Krait 400 cores clocked at 2GHz+ and Adreno 330 graphics card. It also comes with 4G LTE support and every other set of features that makes it top, flagship offer.
The late arrival might not necessarily be a bad thing for Qualcomm since it already scored many design wins with its Snapdragon 600 SoC, including HTC's One, LG's Optimus G Pro and even Samsung's Galaxy S4 in some parts of the world since Samsung could not be able keep up with the demand.
According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 800 SoC is more aimed at tablets, Smart TVs and even computers rather than smartphones. According to previous reports, Qualcomm scored 50+ design wins for Snapdragon 600 and 800, and it certainly had a big impact on its financial report.
