QNAP releases Turbo NAS TS-x21 and TS-x20 series

Small ones for home and home office users

QNAP Systems inc. has announced its newest Turbo NAS TS-x21 and TS-x20 series aimed at home and home offices users. To be available in 1, 2 or 4-bay options the new Turbo NAS TS-x21 and TS-x20 series will feature QNAP's new QTS 4.0 operating system that should fulfill all needs for mobile data access and synchronization as well as storage of huge quantities of data.

The new Turbo NAS TS-x21 series will be equipped with 2.0GHz CPU and 1GB of DDR3 RAM while the TS-x20 series will stick with 1.6GHz CPU and 512MB of DDR3 RAM. As noted, both series will feature the brand-new QTS 4.0 operating system which integrates multi-window operation into the web-base user interface, adds cross-device file synchronization, several smart mobile apps, and more. The full list of the new QTS 4.0 includes file, photo and music stations, media library, myQNAPcloud.com, Qsync utility, QAirplay, Qfile/Qfile HD and Qmanager applications that should make it easy and convenient for users to collect, manage and share huge collection of photos, music, and videos, enriching home entertainment.

As noted, both series will be available in 4, 2, and 1-bay versions featuring two USB 3.0 ports and one or two Gigabit LAN ports depending on the SKU.

Unfortunately, the precise price or the availability date have not been announced.
