Eteknix.com site had a chance to attend Gigabyte's press event and actually snap a picture of the upcoming Gigabyte GTX Titan Windforce 3X graphics card in action, happily running inside one system there.
The Gigabyte GTX Titan Windforce 3X was already rumored before but this is the first time we had a chance to see it in action. Although Nvidia did a great job with the reference GTX Titan cooler by trying to keep the perfect balance between noise and performance, same as they previously did with the GTX 690 one, we do not doubt that the Windforce 3X will do a much better job in actually cooling the GTX Titan graphics card.
The Windforce 3X, in case you missed it features three ultra-quiet PWM fans, three 8mm copper heatpipes and anti-turbulence inclined-fin triple heatsink which, at least according to Gigabyte, increase efficiency of heat transfer dramatically and minimizes the flow of turbulence thus providing more efficient airflow.
The recent details about the Gigabyte GTX Titan custom graphics card might just be a start of what could be a line of custom GTX Titan graphics cards from various partners as it appears that Nvidia might have finally given a green light on custom designs.
According to Eteknix.com, Gigabyte did not shed any details regarding the GTX Titan Windforce 3X graphics card but since performance of that cooler should be at least a bit better than the one on the reference GTX Titan we can expect higher clocks and around US $50 higher price tag.
