Microsoft plans cheaper US $99 Xbox 360

Codename Stingray

Since there have been a lot of rumors regarding the lack of backward compatibility of the upcoming Xbox Next, it appears that Microsoft plans to fix that problem by released a cheaper US $99 version of the Xbox 360 console, codename Stingray.

The new and cheap Xbox 360 might easily become the ultimate and one of the cheapest media device and also offer backward compatibility. It will be a great deal for those that already have a lot of Xbox 360 titles and also want to stream some content without going for the new, and much more expensive, Xbox Next.

According to early rumors, the new Xbox Next, codename Durango, might end up with a US $500 price tag, US $300 with a subscription. If these rumors prove to be true, the cheaper Xbox 360 Stingray will certainly be a good deal.
