According to a report from Digitimes, entry-level GPUs might not be that cheap any more as their prices could rise by 10 to 15 percent.
Digitimes reports that DDR3 memory prices went up by 10 percent in past few months and it appears that graphics card manufacturers might raise the price of such graphics cards in retail/e-tail. There are quite a few graphics cards with DDR3 memory and while many of the gamers are going for either mid-range or high-end graphics cards, entry-level graphics cards still bring quite a lot of money to partners.
There are a lot of Nvidia GTX 550 Ti and AMD Radeon HD 7750 graphics cards on the market but since most of them are priced below €100, 15 percent rise in prices does not sound like much.
