As you might know, Intel will add a new series of processors and motherboards during August 2018. According to latest rumors Intel will release three more unlocked CPUs, the Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K and Core i5-9600K.


The Core i9-9900K comes with 8 cores and 16 threads, and a TDP of 95W. The 3DMark database shows us a few more details about the upcoming chip. The engineering sample spotted on the database features a base clock of 3.10GHz base clock and a boost speed of 5.0GHz. At the moment isn't clear if we are looking at the final frenquencies or we should expect a higher base clock.

The screenshot also reveals that this database submission was made by someone testing the processor with ASUS ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming motherboard. In other words, the upcoming processors will be compatible with both Intel Z370 and Z390 chipsets. Performance wise, the CPU score looks 2'500 points higher than the 6 cores and 12 threads Core i7-8700K and 1'500 points higher than the 8 cores and 16 threads AMD Ryzen 7 2700X.

At the moment the Core i7-8700K costs around 350 Euro and we are pretty curious to see what will be the price of the upcoming Core i9-9900K.
