Acer adds new ProDesigner BM270 monitor

Featuring 4K IPS panel

Acer has expanded its monitor lineup with a new model featuring a 27-inch panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution and an IPS panel. According to Acer the display covers 100 percent of the Adobe RGB, sRGB and Rec 709 color spectrum and a few other color standards.

As we already mentioned the ProDesigner BM270 monitor has been equipped with a 27-inch panel and 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution. There is one DisplayPort 1.2 connector, two HDMI 2.0 ports and four USB 3.1 which offers video and data connectivity. According to Acer, the display comes with a contrast ratio of 100'000'000:1 and 350 cd/m2 brightness. Acer is marketing this display for content creators and the fact that the panel covers 100 percent of the Adobe RGB color spectrum is certainly a commitment into that direction.

Since this isn't a gaming monitor, you will not find support for either FreeSync or G-Sync. On top of the convincing specs there is a very well-built thin frame, which allows for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment. Furthermore it is compatible with VESA mounts making this display ideal for multi-monitor configurations if required. The new Acer ProDesigner BM270 should be soon available for $1699 US.
