Corsair acquires Elgato Gaming brand

Corsair is changed a bit during the last years. We all know Corsair as a memory maker, however the company is producing almost everything at the moment. For example they produce chassis, cooler power supply and peripheral. Furthermore they sell also gaming chair. Yesterday the company announced that it would acquire streaming accessory brand Elgato Gaming.

At the moment there aren't many details about the deal. What we know for sure is that Corsair didn't buy Elgato's entire business. The company has acquired only the Elgato Gaming brand which includes internal and external cpature cards, stream deck, cam link and green screen. Elgato is also producing home devices under the name "Elgato Eve" and this is not part of the acquisition. In other words, Elgato Eve will change name in "Eve Systems".

Furthermore isn't clear if Corsair will keep Elgato Gaming workforce in Munich or if they will move everything in America. According to Corsair, Elgato Gaming will work as a separate brand so they might stay in Munich.
