During the Computex 2018, Intel has unveiled an unnamed HEDT Skylake XCC processor that's capable of run at 5GHz. This CPU features six channel DDR4 memory and require a variant of the LGA3647 socket from Purley platform.
The motherboard comes with several tiny fans placed on the VRM. Due to the layout of this board, Intel could install a second socket however at the moment it comes with only one processor. Although it's hard to say how many PCIe slots there are on this motherboard, we can clearly see the storage department that features ten SATA ports. Furthermore we believe that there will be several M.2 slots as well.
According to the pictures, this motherboard might be based on SSI form factor and it draws power from several power connectors. For example we have spotted two 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS and three 6-pin PCIe power connectors. The purpose of this demo was to show us that the upcoming HEDT CPU from Intel comes with a better frequency than Ryzen Threadripper.
