AMD yesterday has released their Ryzen PRO series. During the conference, AMD also has shown a couple of slides about the upcoming Threadripper Zen+. The upcoming lineup will include no more than three SKUs initially.
As we mentioned a few days ago, with Threadripper 2000 you can expect a refresh of the current lineup. These include the flagship Threadripper 2950X, followed by the Threadripper 2920X and the Threadripper 2900X. AMD will apply the same Zen+ tweaks to the CPUs, including memory latency optimizations and higher clock speeds. We expect the launch in summer maybe during upcoming Computex.
In another slide, AMD shows the processor architecture progression of 14nm Ryzen Summit Ridge and 12nm Zen+ Pinnacle Ridge. In the slide, AMD also refers to the upcoming 7nm architectures which should be available in 2019. Furthermore AMD has unveiled some slides about graphics processors. According to AMD, we should expcect 7nm Vega during next year.
